The Real Hitch: Date Doctor David Coleman
Date Doctor David Coleman, also referred to as America’s “real-life Hitch,” came to Ohio University last Wednesday to give students a taste of his medicine.
After acknowledging that although he might look a bit more like Kevin James than Will Smith, Coleman says that the movie is indeed about 70 percent accurate to his real life. He may not take on very many one-on-one patients like the relationship between James and Smith in the movie, but he does have a few select clients that he coaches to “become the right person.”

Dana Lynn Formby is an Ohio University resident playwright. “Armed With Peanut Butter” is her nationally award-winning play that will be performed in the Terrace Theater at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in April. This script is based on her interview with Backdrop.

Raj Shroff didn’t get his entrepreneurial gusto from one of Copeland Hall’s business lectures, but rather from the bars down the street. “I’ve always been creative and wanted a way to express it,” Shroff said.
Shroff, a ’98 OU grad, sells t-shirts. His business, Wearlane Apparel Company, has launched a new green and white tee geared toward those shuffle enthusiasts.
