Boobs.
Big, round, silicone-sculpted boobs.
Whether these words arouse social dispute or something in your pants, they are undeniably associated with the world’s leading men’s magazine– Playboy. Since its founding in 1953, Playboy has made its way into countless residences, and now boasts a world-wide circulation of roughly 4.5 million. The Library of Congress even distributes the magazine in Braille, allowing some Playboy readers to appreciate spherical protrusions and award-winning articles simultaneously.
Ohio University students Beth Williams and Kayce Berke can be found in the flesh and clothed, occasionally perusing the Alden shelves. They are real students, living real, contra “Girls Next Door” lives. And their boobs are real. So much for the Playboy stigma. You can enjoy Kayce in print, but here’s a bit about buxom Beth.
For most, yesterday’s underwear typically goes into the hamper. For one MySpace stalker, he’d prefer that Beth’s underwear goes into a box and gets shipped to his doorstep.
No worries. Beth’s underwear safely joins the rest of her laundry. However, this strange request, along with dinner proposals and questionable rendezvouses are all “normal” posts on Beth’s MySpace. Most of her fans are respectful, and strike-up appropriate conversation. But, there are always those few freaks that make Beth’s little nose turn-up in disgust.
“They’re not supposed to talk to you like that,” Beth says with a slight country drawl.
As Beth begins to unfold the dynamics of her religious family and small-town upbringing, it becomes harder and harder to imagine her dealing with perverts or Playboy executives.
Although her mother is very supportive, the rest of Beth’s maternal side of the family still doesn’t know about her nude endeavors.
“They were missionaries. My grandpa doesn’t have a T.V., wears long sleeves–[he’s] like religious and kinda mean.”
In addition to short sleeves and television, painted fingernails, dyed hair and make-up are big no-no’s for much of her family, including her brother-in-law who is a youth minister.
In a family like this, internationally baring the goods could have thrown Beth into a 180. Lucky for her, she feels her pictures have only taken her forward.
Since her initial shoot, Beth has attended Heffner hosted parties, earned the accolades of former Playboy VP and posed for two other photo sessions. With a new application in the making, Beth hopes to become a Playmate.
However, her trips to L.A. and pictorials are only secondary to her education and have had very little impact on Beth’s everyday life. Regardless of her playmate potential, Beth will keep her books and her career with Playboy open. She will be sure, however, to keep her hamper lid tightly closed.
